This week I read The Magician’s Way: What It Really Takes to Find Your Treasure
The basic premise that struck me most follows:
Wherever you are, Life can orchestrate circumstances and events to accomplish anything you desire and rather quickly, but what most of us do is stay where we feel safe and comfortable. We stay safe and comfortable by focusing on the path that we feel comfortable with (because we stand to lose the least) and rarely take the path that challenges us emotionally (where we stand to gain the most).
By simply staying focused upon and going towards what we love and desire the most - we have absolutely no control over the people, places, things, and experiences that come to us, yet when we stay focused on our desire with love (the only thing we can control), our desire comes to pass and rather quickly.
The story in the book came across to me in such a way that I could see many events of my life that worked far better than I imagined they would have at the time - especially because I was out of my comfort zone.
More importantly, it helped me see things that went far worse that I desired - because I tried to control every person, place, thing, and experience.
