The Transition of Jerry Hicks

November 27th, 2011

On Friday, November 18th, Jerry Hicks transitioned back into the Non-Physical.

I never personally met Jerry Hicks, but the work he began with his wife Esther Hicks and the non-physical entity they call ABRAHAM has profoundly impacted me for over ten years now.

I feel I got to meet Jerry through the vibrational aspect of the numerous audios and videos and books created by Esther & Jerry Hicks with ABRAHAM.

Please check out the wealth of information available on their website => www.abraham-hicks.com

Esther and Jerry Hicks

I am grateful for their work and the quite way Jerry and Esther Hicks brought this work forth to share with the world.

Thanks Jerry for your impact in my life.

Blessings,

Barry

What If My Heart Is Breaking?

November 17th, 2011

Recently, three different people in my community came to me with questions.  All of them felt total powerlessness in their lives. All three of them asked me a similar question . . . “What if my heart is Breaking?”

One felt powerless in their relationship.

One felt powerless in their health.

One felt powerless in their career.

They asked me how they could move forward towards their desired results.

=======

For the rest of this post, I will be answering to one person even though my answer applies to all equally.

After a few questions, I discovered that this person had been feeling powerless for over 3 years with their issue. Today, it has manifested in a physical form they did not desire, and from their perspective could not change.

Your Thoughts
+ Your Feelings
+ Your Words
+ Your Actions
————-
+ Your Results

This person believes that they create their experience.

Yet, this person also denies their part in creating this current result.

=======

Next, I asked this person to look at the concept of Results in general — and one good feeling Result in their life specifically.

They could easily identify with the way their Thoughts + Feelings + Words + Actions = Results for the good feeling Results.

They did not desire to identify with the way their Thoughts + Feelings + Words + Actions = Results for the bad feeling Results.

I asked them why their creative participation in their results were any different — just because they called one Result Good and another Result bad?

Finally, they willingly agreed there was no difference.

=======

I then took them through a simple explanation . . .

1. First, we Think.
2. Second, we Feel because of what we Think about.
3. Third, we Speak about what we’ve been Thinking and Feeling about.
4. Forth, we Act upon what we have been doing with our Thoughts, Feelings, and Words.
5. Fifth, we get Results.

If we are getting Results, then we have been Thinking, Feeling, Speaking, and Acting in ways that support the Results we now have.

========

Now to the specific challenge in their life Results — a feeling of powerlessness!

The direction of our thoughts always have a feeling associated with them.

Think about something good — you will feel good.
Think about something bad — you will feel bad.
Think about something powerless — you will feel powerless.

Think and Feel powerless long enough and you will Speak and Act from a powerless perspective . . . voila . . . powerless Results will seem to appear from everywhere.

Once we have a powerless Result in our life . .. it is very easy to Think, Feel, Speak, and Act powerless, because our Result focuses the direction of our thought.

=======

No matter what our Results feel like to us . . . we can direct our four creative powers towards a different Result.

Your Thoughts
+ Your Feelings
+ Your Words
+ Your Actions
————-
+ Your Results

It takes focus.

It can be done.

If there is a different Result you desire in your life ask yourself . . . “What Thoughts, Feelings, Words, and Actions support the Results I desire?”

Then put them into motion until you have the Results you desire.

What if your heart is breaking?

You get to choose the direction of your thoughts — Don’t You?

Blessings,

Barry

Are You Open To A New Idea?

October 28th, 2011

This week I interacted with someone in my community whom felt their lot in life was stuck where it is.

“Do you know about the Law of Attraction?” I asked.

“I know all about the Law of Attraction.” he replied.

“The reason I ask is that when I asked how you have been, the first thing you said was this past year was the worst yet.”

He said, “The Law of Attraction does not exclude things being bad especially when Karma is involved.”

“As I understand the Law of Attraction,” I began, “Whatever you hold as your subject of attention sets your Vibration which attracts more of the same to you.”

“If someone is in a car accident, they have no control over that.”

“Not once the accident has happened.”

“There is no way you can know that a car accident is coming towards you.”

“I believe you can.”

“I don’t believe that.” he said firmly.

“Are you open to a new idea?” I gently asked.

He took an beat and then nodded for me to continue.

“The Law of Attraction gives you more of whatever you are focused upon. If you continue to tell the story you shared with me . . . the past year was the worst yet . . . every time you think that thought, you are a match to that experience, and you will feel bad.”

“You have obviously not had someone close to you die.”

“I have actually.”

“Who?”

“The woman who was my first wife.”

“Did you not have a great hole in your heart because of death that was impossible to fill?”

“I did not feel that great hole that you are talking about. Are you open to a new idea?” I gently asked again, and he nodded for me to continue. “When you remember the greatest most love filled times you had with your loved one . . . right now recall one of them.”

The man closed his eyes and a smile graced his face and his shoulders relaxed.

“That love you are feeling, right now, is not a result of that person being in your life, it is a result of the focus of your thought in this moment. Even when your loved one was present, the reason you felt that love in their presence was because you choose to direct your thoughts towards feeling that love. Your Feelings always indicate the direction of your thoughts.”

“I agree that thoughts are powerful.”

“When you look towards something you want and you think you are going to get there — even without knowing how — you will feel good.” I paused to let that thought sink in. “Also when you look away from the thing that you desire and you think — there is no possible way for you to get it — you will always feel bad.”

“But these are things you cannot control.”

“I agree with you. You can never control the things that are external to you.”

“You can only control how you respond to them.” He said.

“Exactly, all of your control is in the direction of your thought, and you can control your thought before you arrive there.”

“But bad things happen to good people too.”

“Good or bad is a perception. What one person sees as bad, because they are not able to see the opportunity in the experience, another person sees as good, because they are able to see the opportunity in the experience.”

“Positive thinking?” he asked.

“Positive expecting.” I said, “When you train your thought to be open to new ideas, to believe that everything in life is set up for you to win, or to expect things to have a positive possibility, then you have all that control you could ever possibly have.”

“That type of sustained thought is hard.”

“At first any new thought is hard to sustain, but it gets easier with time. It takes sustained determination to direct your thoughts in a way that you can find good feeling things wherever you are.”

“You have that kind of sustained thought pattern.”

“I’m not perfect, but I do have a more focused sustained positive expectation thought process than most.”

“I feel a great sense of relief now.” He put his hand out and I shook it firmly, “Thanks for your reminder.”

“Your welcome . . . however you were open to a new idea. And when you are open to a new positive expectation idea, your life flourishes in leaps and bounds.”

And your life can flourish too!

Blessings,

Barry

Freedom = Plan + Persistence

August 3rd, 2011

Freedom is attainable.

  • Physical Freedom
  • Mental Freedom
  • Emotional Freedom
  • Spiritual Freedom
  • Financial Freedom
  • Intimate Relationship/Sex Freedom
  • Time Freedom
  • Career/Vocation Freedom
  • Community Relationship Freedom
  • World Contribution Freedom

Freedom = Plan + Persistence

Too often people feel a lack of freedom because they have no plan.

Do you have a freedom plan written down?

Have you ever heard that people whom have written down plans attain their goals (and more) compared with people whom have no plan written down.

If you keep your ideas only in your head, daily mental distractions often supersede your plans.

Freedom = Written down Plan + Persistence

First, you have to write down your plan for all the Freedom areas of your life (see list above).

Second, you have to persistently stick to your plan, and then you will attain your defined level of freedom.

Let’s use a simple example of Financial Freedom.

Financial Freedom = Written down Financial Plan + Persistence

If you have a Written down Financial Plan that states 10% goes towards investment with every bit of money that comes your way, and you persistently follow your plan, you have a much greater possibility of sticking to it. Here are examples of this written down Financial Plan in action . . .

  1. Your Pay cheque comes in and you set 10% aside for investing.
  2. Birthday Money comes to you and you set 10% aside for investing.
  3. You find $10 on the ground and you set 10% aside for investing.
  4. You find $0.25 on the ground and you set 10% aside for investing.
  5. You have a monthly grocery budget and spend $50 less and you set 10% aside for investing.
  6. You have a monthly entertainment budget and a sale saves you $20 and you set 10% aside for investing.

If you have no written down Financial Plan . . . and you see something you want . . . you may buy it because you think you neeeeed it. Here are examples of no written down Financial Plan in action . . .

  1. Your pay cheque comes in and you spend it all and are short until your next pay cheque.
  2. Birthday Money comes to you and you spend it all.
  3. You find $10 on the ground and you spend it all.
  4. You find $0.25 on the ground and you spend it all.
  5. You have a monthly grocery budget and so many items are on sale that you can get more food.
  6. You have a monthly entertainment budget and a sale allows you to get more DVDs for your budget.

Freedom = Written down Plan + Persistence

Some define Freedom with creating systems that ultimately free them.

Other define Freedom with being able to do as they choose.

There is no right of wrong with how you define your Freedom.

There are different results by the way you define and Plan your Freedom.

With the Financial Plan Examples above . . . one Written Down Financial Plan . . . one not written down . . . Financial muscles are being built.

With Persistence, the strengthening of any muscle you choose always occurs.

With a muscle in place, the same persistent actions create the same results.

If you have a Written down Financial Plan and a bonus $10,000 comes you way . . . you will set 10% aside for investing (perhaps more if your Written down Financial Plan has taken win falls into account) — because that is the muscles you have built.

If you have no written down Financial Plan and a bonus $10,000 comes you way, you will spend it all — because that is the muscles you have built.

Freedom is attainable.

What is your Written down Freedom Plan for the ten freedom areas (see above list)?

Have fun with everything you do.

BTW, the 10% set aside for Investing comes from the 1926 classic The Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason. A good and short summary of that very book can be found here => The Richest Man in Babylon

Barry

Thinking, Feeling, Speaking, and Acting are Indicators

July 12th, 2011

Thinking, Feeling, Speaking, and Acting are Indicators of the direction of your life.

When you see someone Acting, you can be assured that Action is an indication of words they have been speaking.

When you see someone Speaking, you can be assured that Speaking is an indication of feelings they have been feeling.

When you see someone Feeling, you can be assured that Feeling is an indication of the thoughts they have been thinking.

Action is an indication of Speaking.
Speaking is an indication of Feeling.
Feeling is an indication of Thinking.

When you are Acting a certain way, it is an indication of your words spoken upon enough to create belief.

When you are Speaking a certain way, it is an indication of your feelings felt upon enough to create belief.

When you are Feeling a certain way, it is an indication of your thoughts thought upon enough to create belief.

What do you desire to believe?

Think like a duck.
Feel like a duck.
Speak like a duck.
Act like a duck.

and you will be observed by others to be a duck.

When others observe you, what do you wish to be observed as?

Think like a good parent.
Feel like a good parent
Speak like a good parent.
Act like a good parent.

and you will be observed by others to be a good parent.

When others observe you, what do you wish to be observed as?

Think like a ___________.
Feel like a ___________.
Speak like a ___________.
Act like a ___________.

and you will be observe by others to be a ___________.

Have fun fill your life.

Blessings,

Barry
